More new homes so everyone can aspire to homeownership
We all want a place that we can call our own. In today's world it can be a daunting experience for young people to get onto the housing ladder.
This is why we need to build more homes. It is welcome news that the Government is dedicated to building more new homes and support first time buyers get on the housing ladder with use of the help to buy schemes and cutting stamp duty for 80% of first time buyers.
Thanks to these actions the number of first time buyers is at a 12 year high with 271,000 first time buyers taking advantage of the 100% stamp duty cut this year.
All of these things make the dream of homeownership a reality for the next generation.
